this ones for you dad.

We hardly talk anymore. We rarely see each other. When we do see each other, were not talking. If we are talking, it lasts for about 20 minutes. Not always, but some of the time.
Although I will say when we do talk, its good.

We use to be so close. SO much alike. Do everything together. I remember when I wanted to be just like you.

I think that, as I've grown older, we've grown more apart..and its sad. It shouldnt be that way.
i miss, going to the movies, just us, allll the time.
i miss, reading each others mind while playing catch phrase.
i miss, playing handball on the garage door.
i miss, just goofing off.
i miss, our little jokes we had together.
i miss, helping you pick out clothes, because you didnt know if they matched.
i miss, texting each other while in the same room, to keep secrets from the other people.
i miss, speaking double talk..no one could understand us.
i miss, staying up until 2 in the morning laughing on a school night.
i miss, going to grandmas.
i miss, when it was just me and you.
i miss, wrestling with you.
i miss, when we would go get lunch, or dinner together.
i miss, you teaching me how to ride a bike.
i miss, you teaching me how to dive.
i miss, making fun of the dumbest things.
i miss, us being the only ones to get into the water at the beach.
i miss, going into random stores we've never heard of before, just because.
i miss, all the laughs we had.
i miss, you.

Daddy's little girl.
I wish I could say that's how it is, but thats how it used to be. I wish things were like the old times. I wish things were, how they're supposed to be..But they're not.

I love you dad.

make it count.

A lady made a comment at my work the other day that really made me think...

She was having a conversation with Filomena (the checker), and she then told her she was going to be moving into a new house all day long..
As she is leaving Filomena says "Have fun today!" with some what of a chuckle.
The lady turns around and says, "I might as well, I have to do it"

Wow. I litterally sat there for a second and was just like, "huh, interesting"
I mean its so true, if you have to do something, why not make a good time out of it.
Why sit there and mope and complain if theres really nothing you can do?
Take working for example. Now of course you can always call in sick, but you can't do that everyday. You have to make money, and in order to make money, you have to go into work. And since you have to go into work, why not just make the best of it.

Well, i just thought it was an interesting little statement she said, and thought I would share...

what a guy.

The other day at work this man was in my line, there was a lady behind him with just a bouquet of roses. The man looked at her and said, "Are those roses for someone special?" She replied with a simple yes.
The man then offered to pay for them. She of course said no its alright you dont have to do that, but he insisted.

Just a random woman, and he paid for her flowers.
Just becuase.

Just unbelievable.

It passed. Proposition 8 passed, no gay marriage.

What didnt pass is Propostition 4. And that just disgusts me.

Honestly, why would you not want to know if your child is having an abortion? It's sick.
I think most parents out there that voted no on this are parents that, aren't really involved with their kids, or, point blank they could really not even care what their kids are doing. They don't care that their kids are getting drunk every night, doing drugs, having sex.. getting an abortion.
It breaks my heart.
You need if not one but two parent signatures to get your ears pierced.
You can't get tylenol from the school nurse.
You need a signature to go on a field trip with your class.
But you dont need parent consent to get an abortion.
Getting your ears pierced wont kill you people, an abortion can.

They say for an abortion the baby or fetus is not yet a person, so its not killing anyone.
Yet, if a woman who were pregnant, even in the early stages of her pregnancy, were to get killed, that person would be charged for double murder. Double murder. meaning there were two people killed.
You can't have it both ways.

driving experience number 2

I had my second behind the wheel yesterday.
I was a lot more relaxed this time. Not nervous.

This time my guys name was Phil. He was a bit more strict than Lou. But he wasnt too bad.
He talked about his girlfriend a lot. Most of it was complaining about her, or the things she likes.
He also had on oldies. I wonder if all the instructors put on that station?
We took a little detour and stopped by his office and I just sat there for like 10 minutes.
At the end of my session i was informed that he will be my instructor again for my last one, which is next tuesday. Another thing he informed me on: We will be going on the freeway.
excited. but nervous at the same time.
wish me luck, as well as my instructor.

3.2.1

Some things I realized today:
  • I am completely out of shape. A lot more out of shape than i thought i was.
  • I can't eat as much candy as I used to when I was a kid.
  • I get distracted entirely way to easily.
  • I'm quite the lazy one at times.

driving experience number 1

So last night i had my first behind the wheel. Let me tell you I was extremely nervous before I went. Just the thought of driving with some ranom guy for 2 hours, just doesnt interest me. That and the fact that I am a horrible driver. Well the time came and i of course was just, a mess basically. I really wasnt looking forward to it.
My instructors name was Lou. He wasnt the smallest guy. He wore glasses and had a hat on. He was one of those guys that thought he was funny, and tried really hard, but it worked out because he made me laugh. He was really chill and just laid back. 5 minutes into this and i was totally fine. I realized i had nothing to worry about and i didnt know why i was stressing so much. About a half hour into it Lou decided to turn on the radio:oldies. PERFECT. Oldies are great, who can go wrong with K Earth 101 (Los Angeleeeees) He totally started singing, and trying some dance moves, funniest thing.
Im not going to take you on my whole tour of my driving experience but, it was very good. AND i learned that i drive much better in a smaller car, and i like it a lot better. Im actually looking forward to my next one.

something new.

So today in my anthropolgy class, for the first time ever I sat in the front of the class. I never do that. Suprisingly, I liked it, and I think im going to sit there from now on.

I also talked to a lady in my class today who took sign classes many years ago. She said she could have done interpretting. For those of you who know my passion for sign language, you should know I was pretty stoaked to talk to someone who knows and loves sign as much as i do..
Pretty much made my day.

Have a nice day.

267
That is approximately the number of times I said "have a great day" today. I might have said it a couple more times because I lost track a couple times becuase we were just slammed all day. And it would have been a few more times as well because I had to do go backs for about 20 minutes, which I normally don't do.
Also today we ran out of plastic bags for about 2 hours.
Absolutely Ridiculous.
Today was just a crazy day at work.
Mondays..

Happy Birthday?

Oh what a story I have. I actually don't know why im telling you this, becuase I felt like such an idiot afterwards, but, hey thats what i do.

So im at work today (I work at Stater Bros. for those of you that did not know) and im bagging groceries and talking to Shannon (my favorite cashier).
Since my dads birthday is on Saturday i go into La La Land or as I like to call it, Danielles World, and just dont even pay attention to anything, just completely out of it. Im still bagging and thinking of what im going to get my dad for his birthday and what im going to do and all that good stuff. Remember, im thinking birthday. So I see the costumer start to leave, put the last bag of groceries into her cart, and say....

"Happy Birthday"
Yup. I said it. I said happy birthday to some random person i didnt even know, and it wasnt even her birthday. Not, "Have a nice day." or "Have a good one." Happy freakin Birthday.
just ridiculous.
Since were on the topic of work, lets discuss my worst pet peeves ath this place yeah?
  • Customers tell me they want paper bags, AFTER i bag them in plastic.
  • Customers give me their own bags to put their groceries in, AFTER i bag them.
  • Customers leave their kids in the main part of the carts, and refrain from moving them. Oh and of course they all have the largest load.
  • When customers are getting a cart, but take their sweet, precious time, and just stand in front of all of them, while im sitting there with a line of carts, waiting for them.
  • When customers for some reason think they are right about a price being lower than it says it is on the screen, when they're really not.
  • Mothers come throught the line with just a stoller and no cart, and insist on putting all their groceries in that little dinky thing. It holds up the line.
  • Old people just watching you put their groceries in the bag, probably just making sure your putting the right things along with each other. You know they're judging you.
  • Customers have the cashier ring up a crap load of things, and then once the cost is said, decide not to get half of it, or just say leave all of it. Yeah, that means i have to put it all back.
  • People put things away where they don't belong. [although i must admit i have done it before]
  • I'm outside, gathering carts, people see me, but insist on just leaving their cart in the middle of the parking lot. Especially when the place where your SUPPOSED to put them, is 2 parking spots away from them.
  • When people try and jam the big carts in the small ones.
  • When people try and jam the small carts in the big ones.
  • Customers ask me questions when im on my break. Its just like, really?
  • Cleaning the freezers.

im pretty sure theres a lot more, i just cant think of them at the moment. But when they come to me, ill let you know....

(Oh yeah, i just wanted to let everyone know that my boyfriend Frankie Nilon is the sweetest guy ever. I mean, gosh!)

My cousins birthday weekend.

Yesterday was my cousins birthday. I went down there (garden grove) and stayed with her for the weekend. Friday after work i went shopping for her present (because im a last minute person). Pretty much as soon as i got to her house we started putting little party bags together for her friends. Midnight rolled around and i was the first to wish her a happy birthday. She then opened her present and loved it, and i loved that. We went to bed around 12:30 1:00 and atomatically for some reason both of us wake up at 7am. We then started getting ready until her mom made the best breakfast ive ever had. I seriously felt like i was at a restaurant.

On the breakfast menu was:
  • French Toast
  • Eggs
  • Bacon
  • Sausage
  • Hash Browns
  • Oatmeal
  • Toast
  • Milk
  • Orange Juice

It was delicious.

After breakfast we continued to get ready and then went and got our nails done, went to Starbucks, and then shopped at Target. I made it out of there with only one sweater. For those of you that know me really well know that i cant go to target alone or else i will probably want to buy every little cute thing i see..We went back to her house and got ready for dinner and the rest of the night. Everyone was meeting at Olive Garden at 4:00, but since they dont take reservations we had to be there at 3. Therefore me and Danielle (yeah, we have the same name) didnt have time to finish fully getting ready. We both wanted to curl our hair and for me that kinda takes a while. Her mom suggested that since we will be at the restaurant for an hour we should just finish there in the bathroom. We thought for a second and then agreed. I start curling my hair until we have to leave, we get to the restaurant, go to the bathroom....no outlets to plug our curling irons in. So of course we freak. There was a hotel right next door so we figured their bathrooms would have outlets. Nope. So we ask someone that workes there if there was anything we could do, he thinks for a second, and then comes around and says "Well I dont know how uncomfortable it will be for you but we have outlets right out here. So, given our only option, we curl our hair in the main lobby of a hotel. Yeah, it was great.

4:00 rolls around and everyone starts showing up. We went to the one in Yorba Linda, the two story one, and i have aaallwayyyys wanted to go to that one. Just because its two stories. Anyways, it was great, because we got to sit upstairs. :] We had about 25 30 people in this room, and about 10 minutes after bein seated they seat another family down in the same room, over in the corner. They did wonderful and put up with us just fine, but after they left they seated another family of 4 or 5 there. Me and Danielle went to the bathroom and on our way back up one of our waitresses was coming out and said to the manager that the family wanted to be moved because they felt uncomfortable. HA they couldnt hack it. But dinner was very good.

After dinner we all drove over to Huntington Beach and had a bonfire, which i was just stoaked about. While we were there I engaged in something I've never tride before: building a human pyramid. We totally failed on the first try. The second try (which is the picture to the left) worked out, but only for a split second. Luckyily we got a picture but immediately after that we collapsed. I must say it was a pretty fun experience.
We left the beach around 10:30, went back to my cousins house and went to bed around 2. Woke up this morning and went to church. I left with my family and we went out to lunch and Inka Grill, where i have never been before. And thats basically my weekend with my cousin. It was fantastic<3

I love yelling bunco.

What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word "umbrella"?
For me, its rain. Thats what an umbrella is made for right? So you can hide under it when its raining. I was on my home from school yesterday and came across 2 people walking around with umbrellas in hand. And it was bright as day outside, not a drop of rain. Now, ive always known why people do that and i see it all the time. But the other day it just really made me think. There are these new nifty things in the world now-a-days, there called sunglasses. I actually think they are a pretty great invention. Ditch the umbrella and get some shades..

Who came up with the game Bunco? Thats what i want to know. If none of you have heard of this game, its actually quite fun. I could try to explain it to you right now, but i choose not to. People get pretty crazy with it, especially women. These ladies have there own, "league" i guess you could call it. Pitch in money once a month, buy prizes, bring food and deserts, scream at the top of their lungs. Its intense. I would know, my mom use to be one of them.
Any games these days actually, i mean to actually sit around of think of these things. Quelf? really? oh my i had my first encounter with that game 2 nights ago...

"I have you now."
...and that is all i have to say.

Thursday.

Im at school right now, sitting in the library, i should be doing my homework. But, ive got the weekend.

I worked Tuesday night, which is odd because since i have school on Tuesdays, i normally dont work. But since i got schedualed to work Sunday night, i switched shifts with someone. Well im glad i did that because i was there to experience a blackout at the store. It was pretty cool actually, being in a grocery store at 10:00 at night when its compltely dark, walking around with a flashlight. I left at 10:35 and the power was still out. Apparently it was out for 4 hours.

Ive been so busy lately with school, and work, and trying to squeeze life in.
School is goin pretty well, i like it a lot actually. And although ive known before starting, it just hit me today that i really need to buckle down and try this new thing that ive never done before: study. I need to kick butt this year.

Other breaking news in my life: I got a disneyland pass, finally. And im totally stoaked. Ive missed this beloved thing. Its been about 3 years since i last had one, and oh am i estatic that i got one again.

Back to my first comment of this blog, "i have the weekend, to do my homework."
I am probably the biggest procrastinator , ever! And thats not always a good thing. I wait till the last minute to do almost everything i do. I've always done it. I hate that i do it. But i dont do anything about it.

So a really big habit of mine is cracking my knuckles. Im trying to break that habit, today is my second day and oh my is it hard. I never noticed how much i did it, until now.

Well, i should probably be on my way. Nice catchin' up.

God is so good. (number 3)

Lately things have been really good. No, not even. They've been freakin fantastic. Umm. i think ive got time...ill fill you in...

Friday: Rode my bike to my work with stephen to pick up my check and get my schedual. Ran into an old friend i didnt really need to see, which i wasnt too happy about, but eh.

Later that night: Went to my grandma/uncles house with my brothers, sister, and cousins. oh mannn, my uncle came home a little drunk. Seriously, funniest thing ever. Me and Stephen were litterally crying. So, we waited till the children fell asleep, and at 1:30 in the morning, i drove him to 711, and got some slurpees and candy. :] Then finished a movie and went to bed.

Saturday: Went and got my hair cut with my cousins. Rushed over to my house, and stressed out over getting ready and party things. And then...Graduation Partyyy. :] That was a blast. It was really good, i saw some friends i havent seen all summer. It was a lot of fun. Aaaand i got some really great gifts. :]

Sunday: I had freakin work. Sunday morning, which was absolutely ridiculous. But afterwards was really good. I went to my boyfriends grandparents house at a place for older persons [haaaa], hung out, had some delicious dinner.

Monday [yesterday]: Went to the bank and cashed a check and did bank/money stuff by myslef for the first time. oh man that was an adventure. and then....went to DISNEYLAAND! :] I WAS supposed to get my pass, but i guess something was wrong with there pass holder thing and some stupid bullcrap. But i was still at Disneyland. which was just, wonderful. I went on Toy Story Mania for the first time, and that was awesome. Pretty much owns. After that came home, fired up the grill and had some great food. After that i went on a bike ride with Stephen and My Favorite. We rode all around El Toro High School and then around Lamadera and hung out at the park. Then we rode to Juice it Up, just to find out they closed 10 minutes early. So we settled for Starbucks. Last night, just absolutely amazing.

Tuesday [today]: First day of college. Extremely long day. My classes werent too bad, my geography teacher seems really cool. My photography teacher is hebrew and i can hardly understand her. Hopefully I can get into Anthro. aaaaand hopefully my mom lets me take my sign class. ugh i REEEEALLLYYY dont want to go a whole semester without sign. But, we shall see.
Tonight, hoping to hang out with Frankie. That would just make my day.

Things have been going so great lately....
Thank you God. You are so good.

number 2

delicious. sweet. tangy. Spicy. crunchy. darn good.
Translation: Orange Chicken
A Panda Express original. (joy)

Thats what i had for lunch today, with my mommy.
Today has been a really good day. I went out with just me and my mom, and baby aidan. We went to main place mall, and shopped around. I got some cute clothes, not just jeans and a t-shirt. you know, stepped outside of my comfort zone. :] Took some graduation pictures which i already know i wont like, which is why im pretty sure im retaking them tomorrow. It was really nice, hangin out with my mom today. I liked it a lot.
So wow. Those of you that know the events that happen on my street, there was another incident about 20 minutes ago. Basically someone flew around my corner and crashed into the side of my neighbors house. Backs out and parks across the street like nothing happened. The 10 year old girl then gets out of the car and it was just like reeeally? So then the driver gets out, and is tooootally stumbling, umm drunk much? So cops end up coming, knocking on the door, nobody answers for the longest time. Finally, cops come back out, and have this guy in handcuffs.
hmm. I've never seen anyone get arrested like that. It was pretty crazy, very interesting at the same time.
ummm all in all.
Dont drink and drive.
Dont drink period.
Dont do drugs.
:]

There's a First

So. I just got this thing you guys like to call, a blog. So let me first start off by saying, im new at this, give me a break. My day was pretty interesting today. I woke up around 9:45 and cleaned my room. Then i made some breakfast for some important people. I hung out for a little bit and had a real good time, then went to IVC for orientation. I was going to go to a BBQ tonight, and meet some people, and have a wonderful time, but nope, i had to stay home, of course, and clean. For like what? 30 minutes. Ridiculous. Thats what i think. But i mean hey, whatever.

So, wanna hear a story that happened at my work the other day? Guarantee it will top all of your stories...put together.
So this guy comes im and takes his sweet precious time writing a check and what not. The lady behind him asked [very nicely] if she could swipe her card to pay for her stuff. He was already in a bad mood and they were getting louder at yelling at each other. Finally she backs up and says "Sir were all sorry your having a bad day" and he flips! Turns around and yells "YOU NEED TO GET THE EFF OUT OF MY FACE LADY!" she just yells back as hes screaming int he store mind you at the top of his lungs, pretty much every horrible name in the book you can call a girl. Shes pushing things out of his hands the checkers are inbetween them attempting to stop the madness. Then, this guy calls her an "Effing C". And then she slaps him. He gets pissed even more and calls the cops because "if he were to do that to her he would be behind bars right now blah blahh" goshhh
ridiculous
but uhh
i got front row seats

well its been fun
ill be around later...
