2 years.

that's how long I've been married to this stud
That means 5 years together!

It's crazy to think we've been together 5 years already, and 2 years married! In the other hand, I feel like we've been married forever! Marriage has definitely been a learning experience for the two of us. We learn from each other, and also are still learning about each other. It has also been the most amazing blessing in life.

This past Wednesday was our anniversary, and Frankie took me to San Diego! (I love love love San Diego, and he knows that :) )
He surprised me, and planned everything but didn't tell me until the night before. He took me to Hotel Del!! On Coronado Island :)

Hands down the coolest, most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in. We absolutely loved it. It was RIGHT on the beach (I also love love love the beach).
We got down there on Tuesday night, explored the hotel, and went out to dinner. Later that night we enjoyed some cable in our room, since we don't have any at home :)

We walked to breakfast the next morning (our actual anniversary).

To this cute little french creperie place. I love the ceiling!

  and ate this:

We walked along the streets for a while and ventured into some shops. Eventually got some lunch, and went to the beach.

This beach has the softest sand we have literally every felt. It took us back to when we were on Coronado beach exactly 3 years ago, the day he proposed to me :)

After a while, we relocated to the hotel pool. Just a minute walk away ;)

After the pool we relaxed in our room, and watched some TV for a bit. We didn't start getting ready for dinner until about 6:30. It was nice to be able to take our time.
For dinner we went to this ADORABLE restaurant that was located in a Victorian house. It was so romantic inside, and just perfect. The food was AMAZING.

The rest of the night was super low key, and relaxing. As well as the rest of the trip. The next day we just went to breakfast, check out of the hotel, yet stayed and hung out by the pool for a few hours ;)
The trip was amazing. I'm so blessed to have a husband who plans things like this every once in a while ;) It was so relaxing, and chill and laid back, and just, perfect.

I've loved all the adventures the 2 of us have been on the past 5 years together, especially these past 2 years of marriage. I can't wait to see what God has in store for us the next 65.

lets play catch up..

..because clearly, I haven't blogged in almost 2 years..I think its about time I start up again, don't you?

Well, lets start where we left off...the beginning of 2012.

If you remember August 2011, I got married, and a couple months later in October one of my best friends Jessica got married.

.:She's pregnant!!! Due any time now with a boy! :)

.:Well, the year 2012 our 3 other best friends got married! Here's 2 of them:

.:She's pregnant too!! She's having a baby girl!! Due this October

Rae

Rae and her husband moved to Texas about a month after they got married. Her husband is the high school pastor at their church, and that's why they moved. We miss her so so much!! She has been down a few times to visit, and it's the best times when she does. Luckily we still talk every day. The 5 of us are all in a group chat (thanks iPhone) and talk every day. Yes, every day.

.:Me and my husband celebrated our 1 year anniversary, and went on an amazing cruise to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta.

(Oh yeah, I went blonde that summer)

.:My other best friend, Marissa, or Riss, got married!

That's 5 of us in 1 year :) It was so much fun, and such an awesome experience going through all of the wedding planning and bridal showers and bachelorette parties together.

.:Remember that niece of ours?
 yeah, she turned 1.

.:We bought a new car!! 2012 Toyota Camry. We love it.

.:Our first annual Fakesgiving. We decided to start a tradition, and get together every year around the time of thanksgiving. Instead of eating Thanksgiving food though, we figure we'll have a different theme every year. Our first year was Southern theme! It was so much fun, and so delicious! This next year we're doing Asian! Yum! We're hoping Rae and her hubby Adrian will be able to come down from Texas for Fakesgiving this year!!! So excited that we'll have 2 babies there this year!!

(Oh yeah, and I went back to brown{ish}, and chopped my hair off!!^^)

.:We do Christmas too ;) Except we went out to Lucilles for dinner,  and walked around and looked at Christmas lights after.

.:Back in March we started going back to our old church, where me and Frankie first met! Kingsfield. We love it. Absolutely love it. That June, we started doing high school ministry. We hang out every Wednesday night (Frankie plays worship as well) with the kids, and do random fun events, and camps!! To start the year 2013 off, we went to Winter camp!
I love these kids so much. Each one touches my life in a different way. I am so blessed by them and SO blessed to be apart of high school ministry with my husband.

.:We also started a home fellowship group with our friends (one I mention before, Kayla), and her husband Nathaniel, or Nate. They started coming to our church this year! Anyways, we started a young married couples group (or as our church calls it, Kgroup), and it has been such a blessing. We meet every other week (or when convenient for us ;) ), and we recently finished the book "When Sinners Say I Do". We had 4, then 3 couples, and next month (I believe next month?) we'll be starting the book The 5 Love Languages! It's been so much fun and we all love being apart of it.

.:For my 22nd birthday, we went to San Francisco!! We had both never been, and it was such a fun adventure!

.:Summer Camp. Colorado. FREAKIN Colorado!! Our high school summer camp went to Colorado for their summer camp for the first time last summer (unfortunately we weren't able to go the first year), but it was a hit. And is now, the go to place. We have camp fires at night, go quad riding, horseback riding, fishing, alone time with God in the woods! (I guess that sounds scary, but its not). It is BEAUTIFUL up there. the 16 hour drive is so worth it.

This picture (minus maybe about 4 of us), was taken at the top of a mountain, at 13,000ft high. This hike was physically the hardest thing I've ever done. Seriously. I don't work out, like ever. So going from 9,000ft in elevation to 13,000 in 4 miles, soooooo not ok. But, here we are.

.:The last exciting thing that's happened, we have a nephew. Frankies sister had another baby, just this month! August 7th. His name is Greyson, and he is just the cutest.

 .:Upcoming-
  • Well, this Wednesday, August 21st, my husband and I will celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. That makes 5 years together! What are we doing? I have no idea. Frankie may have something planned, he may not. Either way, it will be a mellow year.
  • Expecting 2 beautiful babies to come into the world by my beautiful best friends, and can't wait for them to be here!
  • 2nd Annual Fakesgiving!
  • Life. Nothing huge (for now) is planned, but living life. Living it with my husband, my family, and my best friends.
Stay tuned, folks. I promise I'll be around more often ;)
